An introduction is always mandatory, isn't it?

This is my introduction. I've learned about beauty tips and what not to do through my own personal experience. I've discovered that a more expensive makeup brush of good quality is worth more than twenty of its inexpensive counterparts, that a good bottle of OPI is worth its weight in gold, that when my polish is dry that it's still "dentable" for quite a few hours. I had to find out the hard way that you should never trust an inexperienced color specialist with bleaching your dark brown hair, because it will turn out to be an awful shade of tangerine. Don't ask the story behind that one. Let's just say I was made fun of for weeks in junior high.

I created this blog to share my stories, and to maybe give a few girls a few tips they didn't know because they don't have the time or the money to invest in expensive books about makeup or to visit stylists and salons often. Most salon quality treatments can be done at home if you do your research, and a lot of the "secrets" that are in the beauty industry are simple tricks that we can all do at home.

Who am I, you ask? I am a girl who's struggled with image for her entire life. I'm the walking statistic. If you can have a bad reaction to something, if there is a one percent chance... well, I've had it. I am fresh out of a nail technician class and am waiting to take my state exam. I also have a passion for writing, and a lack of a creative outlet. So I decided that this will be my outlet. I'd like to share the little bit I know with you, my secrets and tips and what has and hasn't worked for me. I'll be posting product reviews, tips I learn, book reviews, and anything else under the sun.

Love me or hate me, this is what I am, and I'm here to share it with you.
